Frequently Asked Questions

What does Lentri mean?

Lentri means 'gleam' in Kernewek (otherwise known as Cornish!). It seemed an apt name, relating both to the gleam of the jewellery I create, and the dazzling surroundings of the county in which it is made.

Do you take commissions?

At this moment in time, I don't take commissions, though all of the rings featured on our site are made to order to ensure a comfortable fit. If you've seen a piece of jewellery that is now out of stock, or like the style of something but would prefer it with a couple of adjustments, please feel free to email on customerservices@lentri.com and I'll see what I can do.

Do you only sell silver jewellery?

Currently all of Lentri's jewellery is made from 925 Sterling silver. In the future, I may delve into creations in other materials - watch this space!

Are your items Hallmarked?

If an item is Hallmarked, this will be clearly specified in its product description. It is a legal requirement that all Sterling and Fine silver items weighing over 7.78grams are sent to an assay office to be Hallmarked. Hallmarking items under this weight is not a legal requirement, and is not something I currently undertake as it would incur higher costs (and therefore more expensive pieces for you!).

Please don't confuse a '925' stamp with Hallmarking. Unscrupulous retailers may claim an item is 'Hallmarked' when it only carries a '925' stamp - a mark which, in itself, is a guarantee of nothing. Further information about Hallmarking in the UK can be found on Assay Assured

How are your items packaged?

Each piece of jewellery you purchase from Lentri will come in its own box, comfortably nestled into a padded insert and finished with a beautiful bow This will be packaged in a padded envelope, box or similar secure packaging ready to arrive safely at your door.

Why do I need to allow 7 days for my order to be made when some other items are in stock?

UK ring sizes vary hugely, and I are happy to make any UK size. Therefore I ask you to allow us 7 days to make your ring, allowing you to order in the size that is best for you, rather than choosing from a very limited range of sizes.

If any other pieces are listed as 'Made to Order in 7 Days', it is because someone has snapped up the last of the stock, and I will create a new one especially for you!

Can I buy a pendant with a different size or style of chain?

Most of Lentri's pendants are supplied on a Sterling silver 18" trace chain as standard. If you would prefer a chain in a different size or design, please email on customerservices@lentri.com before placing your order to discuss your preferences. Please note that prices may vary for different chain styles and sizes.

Can I change my order once I've submitted it?

If you've made a mistake with your order, or want to add another item to it, please email on customerservices@lentri.com as soon as possible. I'll do my best to make any amendments if your order has not yet been despatched, but this may not always be possible.

Do you really make everything you sell?

Everything sold on Lentri is made by hand. The only exception to this are posts, backs and hooks attached to earrings and  the chains on which are pendants are supplied (I'd love to hand make chains, but the time and materials required would make them VERY expensive to make, and for you to buy!)
